    Teledrawing Listening sessions offer a dedicated, uninterrupted space to talk through what is true for you.

    During your share, I will be drawing an abstraction of the experience of the call: the mood, energetic charge, rhythm and patterns, vibrational tone, and quality of the space between thoughts.

    This 8”x8” drawing is an artifact of what you have shared during the phone call and will be mailed to you within a week of the session.

    In the judgement-free container of our call, you’re invited to:

    • talk through your day to day wonderings or stressors

    • verbally process matters of the heart

    • muse on the existential

    • feel deeply held in your grief

    • share comfortable silence

  • Flow of a Call

    As your Smooth Operator, our call will begin with a brief grounding before opening up for 30 minutes of unprompted, uninterrupted space for the caller to share. While drawing the experience of the call itself, I will refrain from engaging in verbal dialogue directly to encourage you to fill the space. For many, this experience can be a new one to embrace.

    When booking, you may opt between a phone or video call, your preference.

    At the conclusion of the call, I will share back the title of the drawing you’ll receive in the mail along with a question for you to take or leave beyond the session.

  • Deep Listening, Not Therapy

    Human to human, it is an honor to hold and release the most tender parts of another’s experience within the container of session if the caller is interested in bringing that level of depth.

    The Teledrawing Listening Service is not a therapeutic offering.

    I have no therapeutic training or qualifications of any kind. Generally, what is shared during the call stays in that container, with this exception: as a mandatory reporter I am required to report any reasonable cause to suspect harm towards self or others in the event this is shared with me.

Hi, I’m Tobin, aka your Smooth Operator.

I’m an artist and a listener that dreamed up this gig because I was made to do this with love. I believe in the power of feeling deeply listened to and having that reflected back by a kind, neutral witness.

Among other paradoxes, I’m a systems-thinker and gender-nonconforming queer visionary. I manage chronic illness and disability and welcome callers to get deep about these often isolating experiences if it would serve them.

In spaces that center our shared humanity in all its facets, healing is reciprocal.

For $160, the Teledrawing Listening Service includes:
